It seems that some people don't believe anybody can be happy at Pembina. Let's put that to the test. Would you be so kind as to upvote this thread if you're happy with your job and downvote it if you're miserable? I'm personally somewhere in between, but I would lean more towards not happy than happy.

I was exited as COVID hit - got a barebones package with no health coverage after end of the day I was sent home. The manager who fired me…. sorry, laid me off, seemed sad 😞 I wasn’t more upset and that I handed him my badge and phone as I sat down. The company expects the world from you but if you don’t fit the ‘frat boy’ mindset or create opportunity for your managers to spend time with VPs and up don’t expect to last.
Sad really, there are so many good people there and lots of leaders who used to be good people.
Hopefully no one from Pembina comes to Keyera! They will just create a toxic environment

I am in the middle. Do not hate it here enough to offer a resignation or hope for the golden parachute, but also no longer willing to speak highly of my employer or go over and above like I used to.... if that makes any sense. One of my nephews is in the engg program at UofA and I steered him towards ENB even though he would be been guaranteed a position here. The pandemic also made me reflect on what is important: More family time, workload management, turning off the phone, leaving the office at a reasonable hour, focusing on physical and mental health (if I said any of this to my colleagues, I would be laughed at.. but my family actually likes me and I'm not a chronic alcoholic). Pembina is in long-term trouble and no longer reflects my values. It's simply cashing a cheque. Nothing wrong with that. Interesting 'pulse check' vote with 7-1 unhappy people.
