Well today is a big day for us. Time to see if we have a good finish to the quarter. If HyVee has a loss for the quarter do you think Randy will come down on everyone. Time to cut some more hours and layoff more employees. What other crazy ideas do you think Randy will come up with to get us back on track?

The sad part is I’ve work for HyVee for 10 years now. With the cost of living going up I can’t even afford to shop at my own store. Pretty bad when the company you work for pays you so low that you can even shop there. I think it may be time to move own.
well I seen this all before. wasn't hyvee though. randy has done some things right. like updating existing stores. I not sure labor savings on self check out real when balanced against increased shrink at lost gross. that is why we ceo and senior leaders to figure things out like that. unfortunately they don't do true objective math with real formulas. it's like sales should be up 7 percent because inflation is up that much. gas yes. meat yes eggs yes. soon things made from wheat. yes i know commodity markets. I also know some folks in areas of town have more expandable income than others. here something I heard today poeple making over 100000 a year a falling behind on there payment and living style. that true cost of inflation. less to spend on things at all income levels except the real rich. just food for thought. hyvee customers come from all income levels and all walks of life.
