Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

time for a union

Amazon workers in a staten island ny warehouse voted for a union. We need one now before things get even worse here. We need a big pay increase to offset inflation.

Retail unions are a complete joke. You’ll just be paying another tax—it’s called union dues, which only go UP. They cannot guarantee you anything when it comes to pay rates, raises, or benefits. But, hey knock yourself out and bring them in. You’ll find out the hard way that unions are not the utopia that the organizers on here are saying that it is….

Unions don't mean bigger pay increase it might mean smaller ones though I was in a union for 15 years and will never be part of one again. You should probably ask some retail stores who are unionized if they like them bet you won't like the answer.

A union is a must. My store won't let full time employees go past 39 hours and people are getting 2 1/2% raises. So that 1 hour we lose offsets the raise. With inflation at 7%, itx like getting a 7% pay cut.

Amazon workers are not allowed to use the bathroom, and get fired for calling out sick.

It's cute that you think having a union would result in you getting a big pay increase. I'm guessing if you did get one, it might almost offset your union dues. lol! That's all they're really good for, anyhow. Collecting $50-$100 monthly from each of you, and hampering workflow and processes for the company wherever they can.
