Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Anyone else coasting?

Anyone else coasting? After years of trying to break into management which is rigged, I’m deciding to lay low and do the minimum required by my position and enjoy my mid six figures.

Kind of hard to coast in claims when your inventory is what they are now and management is getting a report on everything you do, including leaving your computer to take a 10 minute dump.

Anyone coasting can’t be in injury, owing the inventory doesn’t allow for this. If I don’t work my claims, the odds are no one else will. I wish SF had everyone owing inventory or every one worked shared.

I’m guessing the people coasting are the worthless analysts.

Heck, even new agents can now coast, no more 1-2 year trial contracts, they all get permanent contracts on day 1. The quality of the contract is another topic.

Yes and it’s made this job SOOOO much more chill. As long as my numbers make my supervisor look good, I can lie to agents, not do things I said I’d do, and none of it will ever come up in my 1x1 because my metrics are GREAT!

@1yjv+1g3JqNLw- you must be in one of those slacker jobs and not being abused in claims.

Coasting is my specialty. It's the only way with this company. Luckily, I give half or less of the effort I did a year ago and I'm still exceeding expectations. As long as I have good metrics and don't have Karens ask to speakbto my manager too often, I'm f[_]ckin solid.

Minions are NOT "sour grapes." Leadership planted the grapes. Take responsibility for what leadership has created.

There are and will be hundreds of claims TM openings if you want to come on over and try to fix things. Never a better time for mediocre employees to move on up. Once I get my Express TM job and after I update my email with my pronoun preference I will tell all of the management above me what they are doing wrong and how to do it right.

I do the same thing as an executive and enjoy my 7 figure income! Sometimes I have to go on those stupid agency trips but at least they are in nice places and I stay in a suite.

You guys should be ashamed of yourselves. Agent here and I can honestly say I bust my tail the same way I have for
30 years, I put in an honest 4-5 hours of work chatting with clients every week (except for November to May when I am in Florida for a well deserved vacation) in exchange I take home a hard earned $400k plus per year. I feel I am grossly underpaid.
