Thread regarding Belk layoffs

I still consider leaving even though I was promoted.

I was promoted to a higher position a couple of months ago. One would think that I would be excited and foolish after that, but no. All the same sh-t, just being screwed by different people above. My intention to leave and find another job hasn’t changed one bit and I will be jumping on the first opportunity that comes.
My personal situation aside, but I think that the very fact that an employee has a strong urge to leave just after a promotion shines the light on the catastrophic way in which this company is run.

You make the right choice. There is no future with Belk. This is a dead end career and everyone knows it!

Same old sht different day that is all I see at Belk now! The only reason all store managers or many people want to stay at Belk right now is either too greedy for money or too afraid to leave. It is like stepped into Belk ShT and came up smelling like a rose! Thanks for pointing out the SSDD mentality at Belk!
