I'm starting to hear of the "normal" restructuring & possible layoffs around the June time frame, yes even when they can't find good workers! I can testify to nervous management and addional reporting requirements.
Just wanted to share. Has anyone else heard or experienced similar?
I would suspect they will "move" people to the places where they need them, rather than layoff anybody. It was already happening before I left. "Hey, can you help out this other group with this project"....then all of a sudden you're working a new position. I don't think layoffs are happening anytime in the next several years. They seem very opposed to giving out those packages.

There was a reorg last week with shadman’s tech org, including bringing product under tech. No layoffs though (yet)c though a couple seniors did “pursue new opportunities.”
In 10 years, I’ve not never gone 1 month without hearing the mention of the layoffs.
So how is hearing about it now any different than any other time? One thing that Citi has done for sure, and that’s condition their people to be numb to hearing that word “layoff”. What you call layoff, I call Tuesday.
