I'm getting so frustrated and tired of being rewarded for hard work - and by that I mean doing several jobs at once - with empty words. I don't care that I'm "the best you got" and I don't give a damn you wish you had more employees like me. Of course you do! Id--ts like me make you look good for free. But I won't be doing that anymore. I'll stick to doing my job and my job alone. You want more? Give me a raise or a proper bonus. Or hire somebody else to do it. I'm done being your donkey.

Raises were approved and you should get a call from your manager to discuss. Will show up on next paycheck. Haven’t received an actual salary increase in 4 years so was a nice surprise considering the state of the company.
So glad I left that Zerox. Sounds like you people are working in he-l!! Hahah
Here is my take: You probably just aren’t as good at your job as you think you are. You put yourself in the situation and since you are not doing anything to better it, it’s your own fault. Don’t blame the company boogeyman.
The other part of me thinks that all these threads that keep appearing recently are simply just posted by ex employees who try to stir the pot. None of the topics makes sense and they’re all the same repetitive BS.
Those saying stop doing "extra tasks" don't realise how toxic things have become in some areas...
With the risk of job losses employees are having to take on extra tasks to become irreplaceable....why risk your livelihood. Its not a nice situation to be in.
Omg, stop the whining and get the F out, you are letting them do this to you!!
Yup. If you have a problem with your blood, sweat, and tears feeding the xrx dividend look for something else. Until then lift with your legs and enjoy your lunch and coffee breaks.
yeah I get told that too, but it's because I do the work. I help out, I help my fellow coworkers with things they can't figure out or have time to do. It's what work is all about. If you don't like it, quit. My manager is great, the customers are great. Suck it up or quit. Your attitude is bad. The company owes you nothing, they hired you and give you money. If you think you can make more elsewhere, do it.
What about back pay compensation for the “extra” work already done? Maybe there’s some creative ways to get that red out of your ledger?
I am wondering what your original job entails and what "extra" items you were asked to do?
If you are a Service Rep, are they asking you to do a Sales function?
If you are a Sale Rep, are they asking you to fix devices?
Please clarify what "extra" work means.
Same here. I stopped doing the "extra" work in January. I've been doing 2 to 3 jobs for 2 years, but I'm done with it now. And guess what happened? The majority of the "extra" items all of a sudden weren't that important anymore and I wasn't asked to do them. Funny how that worked out.
I'm not working myself to the bone for this place anymore. All we are is a number, and if they aren't going to compensate me for the additional work I'm no longer doing it.
