Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

HC10 employees watch out

Before I resigned I saw several decks presented to Dallas about our HC10 workforce (HC means High Cost) - this is all the MPTs in the US, Canada, Australia, Singapore, and western Europe.

When I left we were still long HC10 heads despite the attrition so if you're in one of those countries, expect things to continue to get worse before they get better. The company does not want HC10 employees.

HC10 refers to the “high cost” 10 countries for employee expense. US, UK, Canada, France, Belgium, Germany, Australia, Netherlands, Singapore, and Italy. Corporate is tracking employee attrition from these locations. There was a target for ‘21 and it was exceeded by ~500 employees. One would assume there’s a target for ‘22. When we hear what the PIP% is we’ll know if corporate wants to slow down the attrition or continue it. Just know that site support on site is not an attrition concern, even if all NA sites are at 15-20% attrition. You can’t replace 5, 10, or 15+ yrs experience with CNHs and claim “we can train them on technical”. Any CNH on a technical track who learns data analytics tools will leave within 5 years if they can see there’s no plan for them. People aren’t stupid.

Seems the root cause of disasters at EM is this High Cost employees in Dallas.

Where is the effort to fix that?

This is real. You can search hc10 and find the deck that was presented to the MC. Other decks show 15-20% MPT attrition at ALL NA refining sites. I’m afraid the fire at Baytown will be the first of many process safety events to occur.
