Thread regarding Belk layoffs

The right way to reduce heavy debt

The right way to reduce heavy debt is certainly not to treat employees the way they are treated here. If the company can't pay its employees more, then it can certainly have better management that will treat employees like human beings. If nothing else, it would be a small step forward to prevent those who actually want to work from leaving. Without people working hard, I really don’t know how to effectively reduce debt?

@1qey Thank you for reading and understanding why Belk beloved workers are so sad and unhappy working at Belk since Sycamore Partners bought us in 2015. If top leaders at Belk only understand this one thing that "A Happy Worker is a Productive Belk Worker" then Belk company is not in a sad demoralizing and deteriorating situation today. What do you expect if the fish stinks at the top and nothing will ever change at Belk stores as we shall see what goes around will come around soon anyway. Such a wasting of money to educate these bonehead leaders of how to motivate and keeping their beloved Belk workers? What Motivates Your Employees? Hint: It’s Not The Money!

@1icg. You are so right. But the problem is that the store managers do not care how the associates are treated. In my store the store managers treat you like your not even human. All the good workers in my store are given more and more to do while the managers favorites are babied. Our managers are more concerned with what they are going to eat next than actually paying attention to what is really going on in the store. And I know just quit. Believe me I can't wait to be out of belk. I have been holding out because I figured I could collect unemployment after the store closed. But Sycamore must think they can suck more out of it.

If GOD intended for Men to fly, HE would have given us Wings. If GOD intended for Belk company to be successful and caring, HE would have given us intelligent or smart top leaders?
Fair enough Belk workers?

"Bad leaderships are like a flat tires. It is hard to go anywhere until you change them!" The big problem about Belk and Sycamore Partners that we do not have one flat tire. We have four big flat tires. If you can't pay your beloved Belk workers or don't want to pay them at least $15/HR or more then at least do some of the following things:

  1. Make your business a nice place to work
  2. Offer flexible scheduling for your beloved Belk workers
  3. Lead by example from your all Sale Team Managers and all Belk Store Managers
  4. Encourage Teamwork at all Belk stores
  5. Express honest gratitudes for your all Belk workers

There are thousand other ways to motivate your worker to stay without giving any more money if Belk company does not have any. Are these stupid MBAs graduated executive leaders from Belk or Sycamore Hedge Fund have learned anything from expensive Ivy League Schools or Stupidity is their Specialty?
The quick and right way to reduce heavy debt is certainly not to treat employees the way they are but go ahead and declare Belk liquidation now and get out of retail business since Belk leaders know how to run Belk company to the ground so well and so good about doing it while getting pay big fat overprice salary? Go figure!
