Thread regarding General Motors layoffs

Cutting off exports to Russia

Although many say that cutting off exports to Russia will not be terribly costly for GM, I am still afraid that in the end it could result in some layoffs. I hope that doesn't happen. Thoughts?

I thought GM got out of Russia because they couldn't make a profit there. Just like India and Europe. Remember how Opel/Vauxhall was brought into profitability within years under new leadership after decades of losses as part of GM?

Gas prices are going up and GM is staying afloat by selling expensive gas guzzlers. It looks like 2008 to me.

I see many layoffs in GMs' future. But, not only GM, all of automotive and beyond.

Envision a vision of 2008 all over again, but grander in scale.
