Why all this talk about Sabre?

One interesting thing I noticed (and which I believe is very telling) is that there are more comments on this website about Sabre than about its competitors. (The last entries for Amadeus and Travelport were in 2020). Is it because Sabre employees care more for Sabre or is it because they're more afraid?

My theory is that it's a bit of both - people like working for Sabre but the constant binge and purge over the years have given them some form of PTSD. It's like living with an abusive partner - we love them but we don't feel secure with them.

I know some people will disagree or have other takes. Please leave your comments - I genuinely want to know what you guys think.

All companies communicate, but not all companies choose the same place to do it. Just because activity isn't on this site, doesn't mean that it doesn't exist

I think the answer is people at Sabre have to work with terrible PMs sometimes. Especially in US. And because of such experienced they just develop negative emotions for the company.

I think the answer is that we care and this is probably the 1 place where we can express real views with no negative consequence. I think the management of this company is doing a much better job than their predecessors and we have a lot of potential. Listening to this team of 3 on the call now they are sending out the right messages. If these things happen then we will be fine.

I totally agree with the original post. I love Sabre but at the same time i feel insecure that i will be let go anytime (despite putting my best work and time). I come to this sites to check for news etc.

This is a site about Sabre, so of course it would be.... about Sabre. The one we don't talk about is Bruno.

Good Topic, I think there is some anger in various posts/comments as well as being afraid of what is going to happen next to either them or Good long term friends still at Sabre who are just trying to hang on. Thanks for asking, looking forward to what others say.
