lol. what floor is the spiked kool-aid on. what energy? morale stinks. its depressing.

comment about bo--s and barrels should be reported. though allegedly nothing reported is anonymous and even those townhall texts that r sent are looked into if its negative & if they can link it back to someone, its a strike against ya. like soviet russia they love to control and intimidate. former gal in corp comm said that. currently in a breakout room w/ my ipad and looking at job postings.

So glad to be back. I missed the energy our staff brings to the office!

Our senior "manager" held an impromptu townhall this morning. The usual rah rah good to see you back bs, but at the conclusion of the meeting, another "manager" referenced to online posts about the company, and "what you read online is sometimes not the truth... we should ignore it" and "there are sad people out there posting things that are not true about Pembina"....... Unsure if there were marching orders from management, but I would surmise the comment was made in reference to this site. So to the people who have posted things here...... you have obviously struck a nerve. Oh yeah, the same manager commented on the recent conflict with Ukraine saying that (paraphrasing) "we need to remember that sometimes our industry prefers to see bodies if barrels are moving out." .......... This was said in front of 25 people at Pembina Pipeline Corporation in 2022.

It isn't even noon yet and the politicking has begun on my floor. Reading between the lines, my manager is making the rounds to likely save his career (he could be replaced this afternoon and it would be biz as usual).... It is easier to play games, schmooze, and BS when you are sitting in someone's office. I have no doubt that there will layoffs soon and the company will use it as an opportunity to get rid of dead weight, people who were not glued to their screens for 8.5 hrs a day, and not on call throughout the evenings. Make no mistake that the company used WFH as a gauge to determine the level of loyalty in people. Good to be reminded what a regressive dump Pembina is.

Another observation: With the changing of the guard, there was no mention (that I saw) of the Q4 earnings or the appointment of CEO on the usual websites I frequent (CFCN, BNNBloomberg) that historically did. I wonder if we are further regressing to the conservative 'fly under the radar' Mannix approach to business. At least SB didn't sc--w up the conference call too bad.

Anyways, happy return to work comrades!
