AP thinks he is a politician now!. “Everyone wants to be back in the office”. Sounds like Trump, or even Trudeau .
It’s insulting to our intelligence

I wish we had an Exec team who talked to people -down the hall’.. or on different floors. Strong Exec team don’t just take what senior leaders tell them. Can’t ignore your blind spots without negative impacts eventually
The two bullies on my team can't wait to get back to the office. You can tell the lack of attention has just been ki----g them! The narcissism. Both could be easily replaced but the schmoozing and brown nosing keeps them employed and paid. They can't manipulate through a computer screen.
The people I know who put their heads down and work are the ones perfectly ok with WFH and minimal distractions. It is the types who need to play politics, spin things, and intimidate in-person who are aching to get back to their games to justify their very existence.. Also, the insecure management types who need to micro manage and treat staff like school kids. Can't forget them.
Alex is surrounded by yes men and women so he’s led to believe everyone is really keen to get back to the office. Meanwhile during this voluntary return to work phase no one is going back in. He should take a careful look at those around him and ask some questions about who’s telling him what he needs to hear vs what he wants to hear.
You're assuming that AP drives himself to the office. There is a towncar that picks him up most mornings for transport. If you saw the perks these guys get it would make you sick... but also wouldn't surprise you. The proxy circular sheds some light on the slush funds/allowances these guys receive.
If I had the CEO’s office size, assigned parking, dedicated breakout spaces etc. I’d want to come back to the office too.
Looking forward to taking that week off sick with COVID in late April once I’m back in a cubicle.
In essence, CEOs (much like police chiefs) are politicians.. so you aren't wrong. The line about returning to the office is bu-----t. No doubt there will be a 'welcome back to the office' round of layoffs... so a bunch of us will continue to work from home :)
We have intelligence?
