Who is planning to leave chevron after CIP?

I was simply miserable working for CVX. I am now my own boss, and I love it.
I left and life went fim bad to excellent
I would strongly advise against attending an exit interview and if you do attend one do not be candid. You might feel the need to complain about the various issues at chevron but this will only be held against you should you ever seek to come to work for chevron again. These issues cannot be solved by your immediate supervisor or manager. Most of the issues are the result of dictates from levels above them. Don’t burn your bridges.
For all those leaving ask for an exit interview and please be brutally honest! I will when I leave!
@3axp 11% is the target bonus, I'm psg 21
If your bonus was only 11% with a 1.5x CF you must be a deadweight loser. Good riddance.
I got an offer from a tech startup, but I told them I was waiting until my bonus arrived before I gave my 2 weeks notice.
The compensation change breakdown is:
base: 110k --> 160k
bonus: 11% --> 25%
equity: 0 --> 0.05%
@1uxd, Good luck to you in life, son. You’re going to need it. Do you listen to yourself? Wanting to leave one job to get find another, not because it’s toxic where you currently work, and for excellent pay I should add. You say you want to leave because you fear that interest rates will whittle down your lump sum pension. That’s priceless. If high inflation takes hold for a while, one of the benefits you’ll gain is a faster growing salary. That will translate to your accrued pension amount going up as well. But, you go ahead and leave Chevron before summer and get yourself another job. All that commotion won’t change inflation, the economy, or the growth of your pension lump sum when you do settle down to retire. There’s no such thing as greener grass on the other side. Everything in life is within you and what you make of it. Keep your cushy paying job at Chevron for as long as possible. It’s the easiest gig in the world and you are extremely fortunate for being there. Are you really going to throw all that away? I wouldn’t.
Interest rates are going to start to effect the 20-30 years people with short run ways. I know of one who already placed notice and 3 more that are looking at this fed rate that they are talking about moving up by .5%. Get ready lots of gray hairs about to push the button
Heard from a PSG 28 of retirement announcement due to rising interest rates. I’m guessing more to come.
I am. The fed will raise interest rates this year to the point where my lump sum pension would decrease more than I get paid. I'm out April 2 so I can still get the pro-rated CIP for this year.
I've got my resignation letter typed up and ready to go as soon as the bonus check hits the bank. Surprisingly, it wasn't too hard to find a quality job out there.
Most of us are either going for a large salary bump and/or a pension true-up to account for the lost of pension, if any. Makes it easy to jump!
If you’re cyber, you can basically name your price and leave.
I am in D&C as an engineer, I would leave in a heartbeat if I could find something. I am hoping with this oil bo-m I will be out of here. Bye bye woke wells
Salaries are higher elsewhere and going up more with inflation. Amazon paying 300k - 600k for software engineers? Product owners just below that range…etc. but that’s not why people leave because those salaries have been there for a long time now. our top talent walk out the door because they have no path for development and are forced to run suboptimal working models for which no one listens to their ideas to optimize. Leadership pretending it’s not happening is laughable.
Gawd I wish
Exploring all options. Already had one call with one company. Interview next month for another. Submitting applications on a daily/nightly basis. Just waiting on the right opportunity,.right industry, and right schedule, especially considering...I am already underpaid.
I’m planning my exit from CVX in 2042. I need another 20 years, son.
I'm already winding down my work in anticipation of an April 4 notice.
Maybe then RM and her band of clueless narcissists will finally admit there is an attrition problem in HR. Since Transformation at least a dozen or more HR employees resigned and I know of several more who plan to leave after CIP hits their bank accounts.
3% merit increase after I was asked to take a role change to develop my career. Pay review comes and I'm meets expectations for growing capabilities. What a joke
i'm a PE...if I could find a job in the oil industry, I would have left already...nevermind the bonus.
Everybody under PSG 26 across the whole company
Best of luck @hzn.
Anyone have tips or insights with MSFT?
Everyone psg 21-23 in HR.

Me! As soon as I find a fully remote job
Me! Got a fully remote finance position and I’m putting my notice on 3/11. Base is 20% higher with a better bonus/option structure.
