I'm not justifying age discrimination and getting rid of older employees but why is it always IBM that gets called out on this when every other major company in our industry (and others as well) is doing the exact same thing? I know for a fact Oracle does the same thing but when did you last read about it in the news? Yet we get dragged through the mud all the time. Either call out everybody or nobody. Don't single IBM out.

The smug id--ts recorded it in documentation. They should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law as a reward for their stupidity. And then stoned in the streets for being so arrogant.

Yeah cause if you don't make rich people richer thru stock on wallstreet you're worthless right? IBM deserves all it's taken over the years in insults, but if you think for one second Google or Facebook are prime examples of "tech companies" you really don't understand tech. Glorified website is what we call a tech company now... All they do is make money off of your face looking at ads. MS is different but for the most part all these "tech companies" nowadays don't actually make much new tech that changes humanity the way they used to. And yes. All companies do what IBM did. This is what capitalism in America looks like, don't like it? Move to New Zealand.

They’re all irrelevant tech dinosaurs that should have been left to go out of business a decade ago but were unfortunately buoyed by bailouts and subsidies.
Also all are notoriously abusers of the H1B visa program.
