DMIS- District Manager Installed Sales position going away? This is position that use to oversee the PSE's and the installers. PSE's are now called IHC (In Home Consultants) and will be managed by a Territory Manager and not the DMIS. The IHC position DOES NOT report into a store or the store management. This Territory Manager will have an entire state to cover the IHC's. What happens to the DMIS position? Rumour is they will still oversee the installer's and specialty sales in the stores. Lowe's already has ASM- Specialty in the stores. They don't need another expensive district person to manage this as the store can manage those sales. I can see this postion eliminated rather quickly. What do you think?

Had second thoughts when I left Lowes as PSE. Not any more.
There is only one thing they care about is the stock price. If they cared about all the stuff they say that they care about, it would show when you visited the store. It doesn’t because they don’t.
I think they already took their direct reports away from them, so the writing is on the wall for that district position. If you don't have direct reports, your role as a district leader will be eliminated. Lowe's typically does "job realignment" in August or September.
District mgr, installed sales=Dead weight
They are accountable for nothing and mostly just go around the stores and cheer lead. Eliminate them all.
Funny, they still can't figure it out? Or did they....PSE IHC doesn't matter, they made money on my back lead district and region in leads a record never to be broke! Now all 3rd party one way or another Good luck to you IHC's.... Renewal by Andersen, Window World, And other's...
This is the position my friend with Home Depot has. He's a territory manager in California and loves it. Pays really well and he calls his own schedule.
