Nobody wants to say it but the biggest reason older people are being laid off is they make the most money
I think the bigger reason in the US is that older people cost far more than younger people when it comes to health care costs.
Till the US removes employers as the largest payer of heath care (like the rest of the world) you can expect this to continue unabated.
if young people come in and spark ideas like all the startups out there
