Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

We are left to figure things out on our own

Maybe I’m just too tired or maybe I’ve just had enough of this place, but it seems to me that communication here has never been worse. As an associate here, I am literally left to my own devices to figure out what is happening, what all the changes are happening and how it all affects me. Transparency is at zero. Why is that so? Is the intention to make our job even more difficult?

Walmart lost all the top talent from 2015 until now, the people that were hired or promoted are too far disconnected with what really happens in the field, what the customers want and what us as associates need to do our jobs.

The company is a joke. They treat associates like garbage, and then they wonder why the turnover is at an all-time high. Pay people cr-p wages, treat them like cr-p, of course people are going to leave. Oh, did I mention management treats people differently, targeting some, while allowing others to get away with calling in, not being held accountable, not wearing dress code, and the list goes on and on. When you tell a manager, they say its not true, all people are held to the same standard. Bu-----t! They cannot even pay associates a living wage. Shameful, disgusting.

Yes, you are correct. The intention is for the management to make it so difficult for associates that they will quit. Especially LONG-TERM associates who are so freaking dedicated. The communication doesn't exist and then associates get yelled at when they don't do something right, however, the management NEVER communicated any changes to the associate. I too am over this place. HAD ENOUGH of the mismanagement and Bu-----t. When you ask a manager a question, all you get is "I DON"T KNOW". Really?? aren't these managers getting a 6 figure salary to FIGURE IT OUT AND COMMUNICATE TO ASSOCIATES? No accountability. Direction changes daily and managers have NO BACKBONE to hold anyone accountable.
