I still pay $38 per month on my Model S and every morning I have fresh, 200+ mile range.
Good luck to all of the gas dinausor SUV. Your pension money will go back to XOM 🤣

The limited range and time needed to charge an electric car makes Amtrak a viable option for trips over 1000 miles.
Hmmmm, so many fires with Teslas. So many autopilot deaths. ONLY 200 miles per charge and can’t just go to the corner charge station, and charge, grab a coffee, take a p-e break and back on the road in 5 minutes.
Maybe I’ll think about an electric car when it is super fast to charge and I get 500 or more miles per charge. Until then I’m totally ok with my gas loving car!
Plus, why do electric cars have to be so ugly????? Surely they can improve on the looks 😀
EV sales are booming in China. As usual, they lead, we follow.
I still have a pair - I drive a diesel with a manual transmission.
The P90 in ludicrous mode is a quick car indeed. Was with a friend who had one. Beat a corvette at three stoplights. Problem was at the fourth stoplight a 1985 Yugo smoked the Tesla as the Tesla needed to be recharged. Oh yea, ludicrous mode voided the battery warranty. Seems like most Tesla drivers are trying to overcompensate for some shortcoming. Worst is the Tesla wannabe drivers who can’t afford the P90 and go for the cheap $25k model 3 or y, known as the Yugo of electric cars.
Put it in autopilot so we can get a chuckle when it wails you out of control into a tree. I love hearing that about the Teslas.
What happened to DW statement about creating affordable energy for the developing countries? Believe it is just a blah blah right....only use that defend strategy when fossil fuel is under attack :p
Tesla will pay $0 Fed income taxes despite $5.5 billion profit. Corporate welfare at its finest, but not much different than EM’s business model going forward.
Please stop feeding the troll. When you get a $70K++ car you don’t get it to save money or to save the earth, you get it to show off. Showing off on the road is probably not enough return for that car price, so the troll has to come here as well to get some sorely needed satisfaction.
Electric cars are just fine if you buy them as a personal choice, but Tesla owners are some of the most arrogant people you can find and some of the most dangerous drivers on the road. They often are ready to cause accidents just to showcase their acceleration. Fortunately Elon Musk is providing a Darwinian selection tool called Autopilot.
Guys, a 1000-miles range batteries are in the horizon (refer to this post once you see them on the market).
Keep the archaic machines and you will be losing at least $9,000 per month (maintaining the super complicated gas engine + plus volatile oil prices).
Your choice. The $500+ savings I get every month, go towards my private pension that nobody can take via a Pip. Good luck.
Hey, call me when your waiting on the shoulder for Tesla to bring that spare tire…you know it will happen at the most inconvenient time, As posted below, just wait for the road tax to kick in, infrastructure upgrade will take forever, enjoy…..
Problem with Tesla is it looks like a Prius, just a dam ugly car, like a minivan. That and the limited range, if you want to travel, better rent a real car or plan on going only 200 miles each day. Oh yea, wait till they charge the road tax by the mile instead of added to a gallon of gas, cost per mile will be the same as gasoline car. Then there’s the fire hazard with lithium batteries. Then the cost of replacing the battery in 8 years, but like your cellphone, battery life will be severely reduced after year three. Then there’s the environmental disaster mining the materials for batteries and motors, then another environmental disaster disposing of the batteries. Other than that, they’re probably ok, but I’ll stick with my inexpensive reliable dinosaur powered vehicle with unlimited range after a five minute stop for bathroom, more coffee, and gas.
Let's talk about it when crude goes to negative $40/bbl again. If you throw it hard enough, even a dead cat can bounce. LOL
As someone that works for a natural gas focused company now, thank you for charging your Tesla. You are putting bread on my families table.
Oh, I forgot one thing. I have a 24-month fixed price contract at 7 cents per kilowatt. After all additional delivery chargers, I'm at 10 cents per KW. Can you do that with gas?
And with my ludicrous mode I have smoked supercharged corvettes, and all macho man super modded re----k mustangs. At the end of the day, I spend 38 bucks with no maintance. You spend 600+. Do the math.
Price of electricity is up too
Pretty woke post bro; let’s talk when that battery needs replacing.
I still prefer my diesel truck. Nearly 800 miles per tank and can tow my travel trailer easily. No children had to mine lithium to produce my truck either.
The only tune up my tesla requires is tire rotation. No belt replacement, no transmission fluid, no every-3000-miles oil change slavery, etc. All of that hassle is for the dinorour SUVs.
Might want to check out the smug emissions on that Model S though. By the looks of it you might already need a tune up
*Smug autocorrected to smog. Can’t mix up those two dangerous pollutants.

I always put 20$ worth of gas in my tank and I still pay the same for the last 15 years.
