My department was let go to GBS Mexico City last year. Most of the associates in my department were level 2 (the lowest level at Pepsi) yet the Mexico Team started as level 6. How is this possible?

I would guess that Mexico Level 6 is just straight pay. No benefits, no taxes, no retirement no nothing ! Thoughts ?
I am in an admin role, 2021 I got less than 1% raise and the job of 2 people. A week ago they gave me a 4.5% raise and I am getting my annual raise on top if that. No reason really given to the recent pay increase.
If you are in an administrative role, just hang out & wait for the severance. Hopefully, they will give some type of mercy to the group, after all, admins are typically paid on the lower end of pay scale. The remaining admins will probably be given generous raises along with a demanding workload of at least 2 people. They are probably just waiting for a few more things to be ironed out before the culling begins.
It's very possible. My department was laid off two+ years ago. Then the department that was hired to do our jobs was sent overseas. Why you ask? When you find out, please let us all know.
admins don't hang out-My workload doubled in 2021-they gave me 2 zones for payroll. GBS is a mess, now I am hearing they want mangers to send the payroll straight to GBS. I wish they would just announce when I am done. the double zone thing is cr-p. No raise and double the work
Could be benefits package is cheaper/minimal. Also, cost of living is Mexico is a fraction of that in the US so conpensation lilely reflects that. The L6 is to maintain the responsibility and leadership levels separate and to help fuel egos.
@dru+1fhV90kA for payroll, they will be changing contracts to hourly simplifying the pay drivers already moved from comm to hourly. All location payroll will shift to GBS. If the Admins don’t see it coming p, they are foolish. Many have sat around for years. Some have worked really hard. Nowhere we are.
My experience with gbs is not positive in terms of me being supported by them as an end user. My workload is ridiculous, but I had admins that caused few issues. Gbs takes forever to respond, lots of mistakes, misunderstandings, and makes me look incompetent to the customer. Zero people care that I work 5 hours a week because of this process and I’m frustrated to the max. Garbage in, garbage out.
Admin basically hang out now, right? minimal work, not their "fault". Issue is like someone said a few days ago... it's 1-2 heads in 5-10 buildings in every state providence in the country not counting regional/divisional roles.... It's a 100MM cash grab and really no day to day impact. Pure profit etc... If I was in an admin role and you can feel something, I would reach out to an exec in your space and ask to move into a different role. Field based for sure. Everything globally is shifting to field work... GL
I would love to know the end game for payroll. I have been training GBS since August 2020. Hoping the package comes soon
Pepsi is preparing to send all admin jobs to GBS. First customer maintenance gets centralized, bills, payroll. Only a cashier is left.
Are the salary ranges the same? The GBS is unamerican. Pepsi is part of the destruction of America.
