190 people out of work as Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy reduces workforce by 32%

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy announced Wednesday that about 32% of its workforce will be laid off permanently, effectively putting 121 workers in Fort Madison and 69 in Hutchinson, Kansas, out of a job.

Ft. Madison had a massive layoff in 2012, 400 employees lost their jobs. It was a major hit to the economy in that area. Sadly, it's getting hit again.
