Toshiba is rumored to make an offer. Stay tuned for further announcements.
Haha not sure which MFA pxd is using but MFA usually doesn't use texts, it's a push notification from an app that uses very little data and if you're on wifi at home or one of the office locations where you'd be logging into the network, then the data goes over wifi and wouldn't use any part of your phone bill.
What we still have people without unlimited texting? Wow…
There should be a line item in our paychecks to cover our personal cell phone bill if they require us to use it to authenticate. Not all of us get a company cell phone, not that I'd want one.
PXD just now implemented MFA? Wow, that should've been done a couple yrs ago
We don't like it either but it helps keep the bad guys out when passwords gets stolen or they're accidentally given out by staff. Call the help desk and ask for instructions on how to switch to the MFA app instead of text message. It's less painful.
It's literally the only way to practically guarantee you don't get hacked. (For 99.99% of all people in the world. If you are in that .01% very interesting persons... maybe you have more worries... but it's still pretty good protection)
It is exceedingly important and if you're not using it for every bank, email, or other important account in this day and age... you're doing it wrong.
What new task can we create for our overworked org to do?
