Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Can't SF afford decent raises?

I mean decent raises that keep up with inflation.
I’m pretty sure SF can afford it, but the leadership obviously thinks that most of us are happy with just having a job, right? What a mistake!

Just look at @ 4omh if you want to see what miserable and pathetic looks like. It is hilarious that he projective his personal life failures onto his professional life failures. Total zero!

Just remember! Their mission is to give you what they perceive as raises only to pull the carpet out from under you when you get close to or at max of your job level. Their mission is to keep the poor poor and only give the fit in elite what they want. They will never tell you this because they thrive on broken promises. Heck...look at their marriages. The lack of ethics is the downfall not only of our nation but corporate America too! Ethics not numbers and metrics create value and wealth. This is something SF has been struggling with since the 1990s.

@2yxr That is if you believe their narrative. They've been caught in way too many lies to not be called out. No pain no gain.

Oh yes, let’s shut the economy down and drive up scarcity and prices more. It’s not like that will affect any of us in any way.

If you want a decent bonus you need to leave SF and get out of insurance, I did and bonuses out of insurance are pretty good.

"They can afford them-you don’t deserve them. What have you done to deserve a higher raise. Please don’t tell me you worked OT-you got paid extra for that. Most of the posts on this site explain they are doing the least possible without getting fired. Hardly a reason for increased pay."

This is the kind of leadership you have, but if you were to say the same thing to them which is very very very true the world would come to an end. A fine example of elitism in corporate America. The better than thou name calling is disgusting. The best thing to do with a person like this is make them do manual labor for awhile or make them eat everything they produce. They would surely starve. And we wonder why people do drastic things like one did recently. The bully that needs a black eye.

@1zqp Must be that new college math that you don't need to give the correct answer to pass.

@41ale, a 4 rating with a 5% raise this year is pretty good, considering the trends. I'm no longer with the company this year/rating period, but I was rated a 4 in the two previous years, and only got a 4/4.5% salary increase. I suppose it also depends where the person is on the salary range, I was getting close to the max salary for RA2, so they will give less of a merit percentage increase. Now, I work for the public sector, a union position. And everyone gets an automatic union negotiated 5% annual raise, with an additional adjusted cost of living increase every 3 to 5 years.

Just today. Inflation now above 7.5%. Highest in over 40 years. Fed Ex has put out a WARN and is laying off. Bidens average approval rating from all US polls puts the woke dementia clown under 40% . Lowest of any president including Carter. His Vice President is even worse. The future is so bright you can take off the Hollywood shades now. How's that fit in with the raise? Not so well if you're honest.

I was a 3 rating and only got 2.5%. I’m thinking yeah, they could do better than they are.

I got a 4 rating and a 5% raise and I felt like that was pretty average?

State Farm believes they are such a great place to work. We should all be so happy just to be able to report to work at SF that fair wages are not necessary. I believe a lot of other employers are placing much more value on their employees and treating them with respect. The best people will be working for these employers in the future, and SF will get what they deserve.
