It didn't have to end this way. With all of the resources available at Cisco, its collapse was not inevitable.
Was it simply incompetence, or a combination of hubris and self-dealing that ki---d the company?

A bunch of middle-of-the-road sales reps rose to the top of the company and then didn't know what to do with it. They'll sail away with their golden parachutes and leave us schmucks to clean up the mess. Can't wait to get out of here.
