Thread regarding Synamedia layoffs

Why all the negativity?

For all you nay-sayers and negative Nellies, I ask, ‘have you not heard of the Apire event?’ This will be an “action-packed”, exciting event that will prove all you doubters wrong.

What could be more exciting than the Chief People Officer having an open dialogue with the EVP of R&D about his career? I submit nothing could be more helpful or exciting at this pivotal time in the company.

If that’s not enough for you - there will also be a session hosted by a sales manager on internal networking…then on to the main agenda.

Sixteen, yes - you heard me correctly, SIXTEEN areas of the business that are currently hiring. Does this sound like a company in the throes of death - I think not.

Happy times are here again!

In typical synamedia fashion - the Aspire kick-off session is scheduled to start at 5:30 am EST sending a clear message to employees in Lawrenceville that they need not aspire to have a future with the company.

People who were affected in this last round of layoffs were selected based on salary - with no consideration for their contribution to the company.

Unless synamedia starts to sell products and make a lot of money, the cuts will continue. Finance team is a one trick pony - eliminate employees with the highest salaries (excepting executive team) and hire a low cost “replacement” elsewhere.

I think, on perusal, you will see that the vast majority of open positions are actually in Israel AND Bangalore not just moving jobs to India. Judas Gxxstl (thats what we call him internally by the way...) has to make sure of his position in the main nest after all. A man who has had 16 internal jobs in 24 years - does this show that he is superb or just that it takes on average 1.5 years to find him out? A litany of Infinite Non-Delivery? That is going to be one heck of a thrilling interview eh... I am selling matchsticks (Kosher for Pesach) on eBay so you can prop your eyelids open.

Aspire - you can guarantee that Aspire is getting a good wedge of cash for this charade... probably some friend of the Dwarfs or a college buddy or some other winnet.

The Aspire event is another example of a tone deaf event hosted by uninspired “leaders”. On the surface it would seem like hosting an internal job fair after laying off 5+% of your work force would be a good idea - until you see the vast majority of the open postions are in BGL. The clear message - we have lots of open positions in BGL thanks to all those people in the UK, IL and US that were layed off.

Has anyone heard of a Potemkin Village? Well this is a Potemkin Town Hall Meeting - pure fantasy.

It is nonsense - prescripted and rehearsed.

I know - I see them doing it...

And, if you think any question you may ask is anonymous... think very carefully before you submit. It is 100% NOT anonymous.
