Thread regarding Siemens layoffs

What happened to us?

This was once a great company everybody wanted to join and we were all proud to say we worked for. That's no longer true, at least not in my case. The leadership has systematically destroyed this place reducing it to nothing but a shadow of its former self. I'm sad to say that after two decades, I'm considering changing companies.

Corporate greed compounded without a long term succession plan for each specific buisness has destroyed this company. In addition to all the wrong people being promoted into decision making and managerial seats without having the right vision or buisness acumen for each respective sector has destroyed the company even further. Employees are running out the doors and pretty soon the company will have no option but to restructure, layoff and close certain sectors. Very sad for what was once a great company. But that's what happens when these companies get too big and greedy. The employees end up suffering in the end.

I understand exactly what your saying. It seems that Vision 2020 was a turning point. Nothing but restructuring, location closures and layoffs occurred in the years leading up to FY 2019-2020.
I saw good, loyal people laid off and some left on their own.
I also made a decision to leave a company I no longer recognized.
I wish you luck in finding a new career path.
