The previous comment is so true. Some of our shopfloor positions pay the going rate. Some position pay an absolute pittance compared to other similar positions in our industry e.g welders, proper inspectors. Which is why we’re stuck with certain people
No, the reason they cannot get skilled workers is because the union don't allow their employees to be paid a fair wage. Each cell, job title, role pays different throughout industry. Yet our union restricts us all to the cheapest job position throughout.
I don’t know the plans for rubber shop shifts. But I do know the new Rep will eat into the backlog very quickly. And If we didn’t invest time and effort into making tricky stators to meet oddball customer demands there wouldn’t even be a backlog.

Lads i said a few months ago. That mtm and reps will change there shifts. Well after this week and the work load thats coming in . It will happen sooner then later . They are months behind and will not catch up. Until the shift patterns are changes. People who have worked in there will be back to cover the shifts . Watch this space . Its gone over glen whitlow now . Big chief is asking for it
