Been told that i cannot get a payruse as its a collective agreement?? Looking at other jobs elsewhere and the pay is far better (5k on average). Been told that they would love to match it if they could, but the unions are holding me back??? Why am I paid the same as someone machining metal??? Why is a welder not paid what they should be? How unfair!

Thing is, the laziest are often the ones hiding behind the union
Bring in some new people who want to work instead of believing NOV owe you a living.
Use the commercial areas as a blueprint, they’ve hit it right, the people with no knowledge, no experience and zero people skills are in charge, non of this union and collective bargaining thing.

If you get rid of collective bargaining;
- You will NOT get a 5k pay rise. You may not get any pay rise.
- NOV will then be able to pay new employees more money than you and others who have been there years.
- Everyone will be paid at different rates for doing the same job. The best workers will not be paid more than the laziest either, the best paid will be the biggest ar-e lickers.
You know the difference between Union Presidents and Company Presidents? Goofballs join unions and pay Union Presidents to tell them how much they should make while Company Presidents get paid by a Board. Neither has your interest as their primary concern.
perhaps if you could spell you would get a "payrise" i suggest leaving if its an extra 5k.
