I heard a significant number of management layoffs are taking place, effective April 8th. Has anyone heard anything ? I think they occurred within Lash Group operations , primarily in the Ft. Mill / Charlotte area.

They gutted it all. All Scrum masters, PMs (business/technical) as well all onshore contractors (anyone IT related) and a bunch of management in the first round in April at Lash. Second wave shortly after that gutted even more across all biopharma business unit. Looks like they took a page from McKinsey.. for that matter it seems like all of corporate America is following the same playbook.
When are workers really going to wake up. Some of these teammates actually put in 70+ hrs on the trot to get a program launched and they let these folks walk too. Something about “managed services” (code word for cheap, sh-t labor (read slaves) taking over and they handing off the whole IT to this 3rd party.
Had the audacity to say the impacted get first dibs with any openings this company has.. 😂.
Looks like consolidation of tech labor under the big sla-ghterhouses - Accenture, Deloitte, TCS, etc.
Smells like trying to get workers to take lower pay under a few employers. Not good for tech in the long run.
Lazy leadership is waking up from their drunken stupor over free money all these years that brought growth by taking on more debt. Now they need to deliver and this is how they choose to do it.
Layoffs in process today, April 11, 2023. Two directors in my area that I know of so far.
I heard many PMs, but don’t know how many.
