We are all replaceable in the eyes of the management. Cheaper is better, so if they can find somebody cheaper to do your job, they will. This is why I can't understand why everybody is not actively trying to leave. It's no longer a matter of "if" but "when" our time at Xerox will come to an end. Be ready for it.

Let's face it that's the same across much of corporate America.
Scenario 1: no one buys the company, print continues its decline = more layoffs due to lower revenue.
Scenario 2: someone like HP buys the company = more layoffs due to redundancy.
See the trend? I'm getting out while the overall job market is hot.
Could not have been said any better. GREAT time to leave right now with historically hot market. I did notice that my skills had atrophied being at Xerox so I just updated my skills a bit and left that shithole a few years ago and my career is soaring now. I’m making more than 30% more now in a very short time and no more toxic environment. If I can do it anyone can - just need to make it your #1 priority to leave.
