Why doesn’t Randy just take away the store bonus program. He could save more jobs this way and grow out the expand the company quicker. I don’t think anyone should be eligible for a bonus when the company has lost money last months. Bonus should be only paid out of the company is profitable. I’m not sure why HyVee even needs store directors making 300 to 400 k when they don’t make any decision anymore. Just have a store manager and pay them 120k a year and call it good. You could sell these to the group because it’s what’s best for HyVee.

Damn if Hy-Vee lost money they in the last few months they will be in the Minority of Grocers that Lost money these last few Months. Kroger and Walmart I know for a fact still made boat loads of money these last few months.
That’s actually a great idea. Some really stupid actions result from stores’ upper management trying to make bonus instead of concentrating on areas that need help and implementing ideas towards that end. Of course that would take planning, not just using the arbitrary and easy ways of making the bottom line look good.
