I know it's popular to hate on Barnes & Noble, especially on this forum, but there are plenty of people who don't feel that way, both employees and customers. Some even created a petition to bring it back to their community. Imagine that.

At least Toxic Nashville, on here, is telling the truth!
The only ones who stay know they won’t find a company that’ll put up with what they get away with at BN. RMs & their side deals with local companies. Mgrs working less than 40 and getting paid for a full week. Long lunches . They’ll stay till the doors are padlocked then wallow in their situation.
Why are you reading and commenting on this site if you've never even worked for this horrible company? I like how you want a store for your convenience but don't have any sympathy for the employees who have been put through hel for the last decade. And believe it or not there are still some diehard long-term employees who are still suffering with B&N's Gestapo management just so people like you can sit and read magazines, leave a mess and buy nothing.
PS A B&N in the Bronx- LOL!
They can barely keep the ones they have still open!
BN made their bed, now they can sleep in it. They deserve to fail, which they will.
SUPPORT INDEPENDENT BOOK STORES!
Where they treat their employees with respect!
A place that's actually a joy to work and shop at!
Down with corporate a--holes!
