This, entirely. I think BP wants people back in the office so he can show the Maryland Legislature how we are still local, still an important part of the community, etc. That will curry him favor when he asks for their OK to sell or merge the company. And I'm sure he'll eject with a golden parachute.
Still inefficient as he-l with millions wasted trying to consolidate claims platforms but failing for a variety of reasons, not the least of which being all of the knowledgeable people who could actually pull it off have left or been fired.
No consultant, no matter how expensive, is a replacement for knowledgeable employees.
