Somebody mentioned potential layoffs after the quarterly results. Since the results were good (better than expected), should we assume that the plans for layoffs were nixed?

layoffs needed to lower overhead to maintain those quarterly results.
Can't pay employees they have to pay dividends to investors... that's more important you know.
Why are you so anxious about layoffs? Wheres pay increase? Wait until 2030….
Or is that too much to hope for?
