Wait for a layoff, get paid to leave! Network and apply for jobs while you wait for your paid vacation. This company is soul sucking.
That’s horrible advice and entirely untrue.
unless you plan on retiring, don't wait, severance is fine and all but better to move on while still employed if possible. i held out for years, surviving many many layoffs, thinking well, might as well stick it out until my turn/severance. being part of a layoff absolutely is strike against you when seeking new employment. no matter how unfair that may seem, its the truth. had more than one interview where that's really only thing they focused on, not even hiding the bias at all. it was an eye opening experience. just some friendly advice. good luck to you
