Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

I would like to ask to be considered for a layoff

Indeed, I would love to be laid off. Besides, I think there are a lot of people in Pepsico who want the same thing? I'm too tired and too sick of this place, so it would be great to get paid to leave. Unfortunately, PepsiCo seems to be putting pressure on us and waiting for most of us to leave voluntarily.

I waited 10 years for a package. Kept getting overlooked because I was considered to be in a “protected” group and they were likely afraid of a law suit. So they kept giving me more and more work. After getting a 1% raise, I finally had enough. I put in my notice and literally 1 month after I left, the company offered buyouts to a targeted group, of which, I would have been included. Timing is everything, but it’s all in hindsight. My lesson learned: Don’t waste time waiting for something they know you want. They won’t offer it. Move on, don’t look back…keep moving forward toward a company that values its employees. There really is better out there.

This company is absolutely horrid. They are a perfect example of everything wrong with big business in America today. They cloak themselves in virtuosity to the media and shareholders while treating their employees like garbage. There is no hope and if PepsiCo is not broken up into smaller pieces and somehow survives in tact, things will surely get worse. Run for the exits now. Find another job - your mental, physical , financial and emotional health will thank you.

I think we are all staying hoping for a buyout. After many years here and watching my job move to India/Mexico I am hoping for an announcement soon. I have been waiting since the beginning of 2020.
