Donkey Dance 2022: You would think the rank & file might realize that computers actually run the plant? Maybe those qualified (but shuttered) local guys from Tesoro have interest in working again?

Chevron management is a swine herd.
Isn't that a general consensus?
Who disagrees with that simple statement?

Pinhead Prima Donnas rejected 12% over 4 years (which was accepted by everyone else). Management could idle the plant and watch what happens.

Stop attacking DJT! He has done more for us average people than any other person in the history of our country! Our lives, and especially our working lives have improved since he did all he did. He is great for the average American and will protect our freedoms!

@1jcb Any true believer of the miracles of DJT would gladly do what you are saying. He deserves it for all that he has done for us. Its not a crooked act when doing it for him. If he could just bust all the unions to make sure everyone is working extra hard to make the modest pay they get and maybe even make sure some benefits are cut then his work is done!

The local union is acting up to justify its existence. Chevron offered up the national package PLUS we give 8% stock match on 401K PLUS a bonus of about 10%. So they are making almost 20% more than the rest of industry.

There’s still people around who would jump at the chance to wrap their lips around DJTs pe---r. Embarrassing.

We need DJT back to bust these unions and make sure people are working hard for every penny they get from the company!

Asking for salary will only result in a change in ownership. Record Chevron profits and crude prices are poor markers for downstream wages. Thousands of applicants when new operator jobs are posted. Amazing pay for educational requirements. Pension, 2-for-8 401k match, a bonus program, and a company that somewhat cares about the employees (I’ve seen the grass)

They rejected a 12% raise and are demanding 17%. I hope they get it so there is hope for us office losers.

Clearly those union workers are not aware of our excellent D&I initiative and how we're correcting past wrongs and inadequacies. They're also not aware we need their raise money for more stock buy-backs to ensure those with stock options are well compensated. ...and let's not forget The Dividend, if they would just put more of their 401(k) money into Chevron stock, it would buoy the stock price (see prior sentence), and they would benefit from The Dividend. All those naysayers who want bigger paychecks are just whiners who are not considering the well-being of the Company. They need to realize that excessive 2022 profits are needed for this year's Dividend increase.

No one is forcing them to work here. Instead of throwing a temper tantrum, how about you find another place of employment if you don't like it here.

COL up there in the Bay is crazy. It looks like they we’re asking for 5%, that’s more than salaries EE’s who had great years are getting. I hope they succeed and MW realizes you have to pay your employees after record profit years

@cni Heaven forbid employees fight for their rights against a completely uncaring company with a CEO whos only care is for the dividend and his wallet. People like you are amazing. Unless you are a big manager why support a company over your average worker? Who cares if Chevron makes an extra couple bucks, you won't see any of it.

I’ve said it before and will say it again, close down that unionized refinery, fire every last union member working there, then convert it into an non-union refined products tank depot.

Saw this. Not good optics for chevron with gas prices and suing Newsom. I was surprised USW agreed to 3% basically over 4 years. I’m curious what the local issues are they couldn’t agree on
