Belk’s plan to push long term workers out the doors has certainly backfired on them, now some stores have hardly any workers because most people are quitting.
Belk is hiring anything that walks through the door. I’ve never seen it this bad.
Now the new hires last on average a few weeks. Some go to lunch and never come back. The days of hiring true professional sales people are long over. Belk gets the ex fast food employee now for $12.
The big difference between Belk and a large pizza is that a large pizza can feed a family of four. Job seekers need jobs to support their family and so they take anything for now to survive. Lack of information about filthy and greedy Belk and or desperation for jobs make them do it. Once they know the truth about Belk low pay salary or treating its employees so nasty then new hires will run to the door for exit! Trust me you can't hide the truth at Belk forever.
