2022 Cost of living increases

Prior posters mentioned no cost of living increases until after L&R separation (If at all). I haven't seen anything on this topic officially communicated and also have not heard anything from manager . Did I miss something or is AIG just hoping no one notices?

It's end of April now. No one I know received a cost of living increase or a raise. No extra compensation was received to account for inflation. I believe AIG "wants" people to leave the firm. They will make everyone's lives he-l to encourage people to voluntarily leave the firm to avoid paying severance. Now they want to force people to return to the physical office. Productivity increased during the past 2.5 yrs. with people working remotely so why do they care?

Enjoyed the sarcasm regarding full transparency in the comment below :) Also heard that since there are no raises coupled with high inflation, we're going to a four day work week with no pay reduction!! We can all pick up a part time job to make up the difference, LOL!

Did you check the employee compensation communication tab? That’s where the company issues its official twice daily updates on employee compensation and pay raises by business unit, the exact percentage each person will receive, the justification for the percentages, the option to rebut and explain why you deserve a greater percentage than your useless, lazy, fat and/or ugly coworkers, and the dates the increases will be in effect. They did this so people won’t have to ask “are we getting raises this year” in every team meeting and on every call. If you can’t find it, just click on the latest PZ baby head photo on the intranet and it’ll take you right to it. Congratulations on your raise!

AIG management high up only give pay raises to themselves. They think that we are well off rewarded TDC as STI bonus is included. IE work hard and you might just get a little extra depending who your boss is. This may be deliberate to get headcount down as loads will surely leave with inflation most countries rampant. I am sure this is not the policy to give no pay rise or very little at other large multinational firms.

Ive never recieved a cost of living increase or a raise. Maybe it varies department to department, but the only way for someone like me to get an increase in compensation is to look for internal promotion or outside opportunity. Contributors are numbers, middle management is insecure, and senior leadership is out of touch, and pale & stale

I would imagine we'll hear something, one way or the other, by the end of the month.

AIG right now is in the process of riffing a large amount of employees. They never ever give cost of living so it's best to move on
