Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

What day of the week is your team meeting?

We meet Tuesday because Mon is too traumatic. Thur is popular also. I was in a management team for a couple years that met Fridays!

The absolute worst meetings are the horrible around the table status updates where nobody cares what is happening and no decisions are made.

Everyday, less of anything getting done

At least during WFH I could get my real work done while “attending” the fluff meetings. Now those waiting for the real work to get done have to wait a little longer.

Make sure to give the feedback as to what’s working and what’s not working. I’ve seen some wet quick adjustments.

Tuesday to be "face to face". What a farce. The projector is sh---y and info is mostly read from a powerpoint or email- this would be better on Teams, where I could magnify the text or better yet, sent out as a deck and email with the option to discuss the info in a central spot. As it is, we sit in a room for 60 minutes to hear what we could each read in 10. RTO has led to less efficiency, productivity, and collaboration, not more.
