In any case, there are more negative than positive sides of the bureaucratic system like the one at GM. Bureaucracy makes it difficult to even talk to someone outside the team and it's a source of frustration. I don't think there is anyone here who wouldn't like to work in a less bureaucratic environment.

Sitting in a room with "engineers" who devalue everything you do and shoot down everything you want to do in front of management who then has a problem with you because you get angry when they say you don't do anything.
At General Motors, the bureaucracy favors toadies rather than innovation, intelligence, or correctness.
It's not the bureaucracy that is the problem, it's the bureaucrats.
Not doing a because b doesn't approve because some BS reason they made up because they're mad that you were nice to somebody they didn't like because GM is stupid.
