Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Dr-g Testing at the Houston Office

So I’ve been working for Chevron on a contract basis, but I think I am going to get put on the team as a full time member. Does anyone know if I’ll have to take a ur--e test or Hair follicle test? I ate an edible a few weeks ago and didn’t think this opportunity would present itself so soon. Ur--e im sure I can pass but I don’t think I will pass a hair test which is what I’ve heard new hires have to do. I was hoping that post COVID, things would have changed on this front. Any advice/comments is much appreciated!

I hope they fire your azz. You might have been lucky so far, but looks like this time, you’ll be caught and tossed. Good riddance you doper.

You’d be better off staying on contract. Gives you much more freedom.

Next week I would shave your head and some body hair and crank up your cardio and drink tons of water. Hopefully your hair will grow back enough so that they can still pull from it during your test.

Your hope is that there isn't enough in your system to create a positive test.

You have already flunked by posting.
Don't you know this is the WWW and they know where you are and who you are and when you are just by posting, even if mislead by the VPN community.
We will test you first, Bob.

One edible won’t show on a hair test. Look into it further.

I don’t know why people post false information on this site. You will have to take a hair follicle test. 3 month history with hair test. If you can’t pass for another two months just say you need to stay on current plan until later hire date for personal reasons. Don’t risk failing a test.

I'm office employee hired September 2019. I had to do a hair follicle and p-e test as part of the pre-hire process.

Chevron may be trendy when it comes to D&I, but they have zero tolerance for dopers.

If it was only a "single use" thing you probably won't have sufficient THC in your system to test positive even with the hair follicle test. No guarantees though.

Wow Chevron should rethink the offer if you lack judgement to assume a rather conservative industry will dr-g test. They been like this forever so you should have known better id--t.

Background screening, ur--e and hair testing are mandatory for all new external hires. If you're a contractor converting to an employee, you still fall under the external hire category. So yes - you will definitely have to take a hair test. Pro-tip: THC detection goes back 3 months for casual users. Background & dr-g screen are scheduled 3 months before your start date. Do the math and post-pone your hire date. Take a summer vacation and start end of August/early September, and lay off the edibles

I'd recommend that you shave your head, armpits, and visit your local Brazilian wax specialist.

They take hair from new hires these days, but only an inch. I have never heard of someone busted for pot and I have had some interns I strongly suspect were users: California or Colorado schools. Postpone as long as you can.

Yes you will have to pass a dr-g test and a background test to get hired. I don’t know if it’s hair follicle or ur--e.

Never heard of a hair follicle test being done at Chevron. Only had ur--e tests in my many years.

Not heard of anyone getting hired post Covid.

But I know if you come into the office you can get a random at any time.

If you got offshore expect to get a random so don’t get wasted the night before.
