Any truth to layoffs this month and what departments?

Yes there are layoffs coming this week. Many have gotten meeting planners so far. The meeting will be to let you know your job is being eliminated. It's real.
I would remove anything from your laptop you want to keep before the call as AIG will likely cut off your system access during the call. They like to “surprise” you by calling it a catch up call, when in reality they are likely announcing a group layoff.
Just got a “catch up all” meeting for this Wednesday with an AVP for this week… so almost definitely related to layoffs under the GB merger.
Layoffs happen every month at AIG.
Not sure but claims waiting for layoff or notice of transfer to GB pretty much everyone working on slow stop or just given up
