They just announced this baby sitting app for customers called where's my tech. The training video explicitly says that customers will be able to see where you live in the morning before you leave. This is insulting on so many levels. Most field techs are making ~$20 an hour and are denied raises. My team has lost 6 people in the last 6 months because of wages. And they have the money to pay to integrate a pizza delivery tracking app for customers? It's so obvious that the people coming up with this stuff have no idea what it's actually like to do a days work as a field tech. Privacy lawsuit incoming?

Interesting. Also, where has the labor lawsuits (violating labor laws) been hiding all these years? Ricoh requires the techs to log into a system and show 'enroute' in the morning when leaving home (off the clock), and now will be tracking them as they drive to the 1st call (off the clock), then only allow them to clock in for pay once they arrive at the 1st customer's office. Who else has their company telling them what to do prior to leaving for work and during their drive to work, before getting to the office and punching in? You are very WRONG Ricoh! Techs DON'T do it! Stay off the grid and turn your phone on ONLY when you are ready to punch in and go see your customer. It's not Ricoh's business or place to tell you what to do 1 minute before that! If it was they should be paying you for it.
Where’s my money: be sure their answer accounts for inflation in addition to fair compensation for new responsibilities.
ricoh step away from outsourcing service and supplies to Uber Eats.
Great tool for micromanaging and pushing older techs out of this obsolete company.
A better situation will definitely NOT be found at xerox. They are just a big a dumpster fire as ricoh. Contrary to ricoh/xerox perspective, your skills and experience are valuable. Look for something outside the industry in a growing sector at a company who values and respects employees. Until then do the bare minimum or less if possible.
Xerox is hiring.
Looks like this the app? Please confirm.

This is disgusting! Class act ricoh. Nice way to treat your front line workers who got you through the pandemic. Remember to go way under the speed limit. Ricoh will now have data to fire you for reckless driving.
