Thread regarding Emerson Electric Co. layoffs

Are we next?

Is Emerson the next Monsanto, A-B, McDonnell Douglas, TWA, etc?
How long can we support a top heavy bloated management structure without organic internal growth?
This question will be important when oil prices settle back down.

I did an analysis of one organizational branch was loaded with directors, presidents, Vice Presidents and managers with zero people reporting to them!
Sounds like a perfect opportunity for the takeover company to save money.

I would agree that management continues to be bloated and Corporate and the Platform red some serious consolidation.

As Emerson continues to divest non-core businesses and evolves more into a pure play industrial automation company it could easily become a target. It may take a few years but it can happen.

I don’t agree.
The activist investor has shaken things up and a sale can be forthcoming.

Emerson has enough money and profit to avoid that for several years if not longer.
