Thread regarding Nordstrom layoffs

I'm drowning in work

I don't have time to go to the bathroom because it's constantly a "go, go, go." We don't have enough people and management isn't even trying to do something about it. Did they secretly give up and are just seeing how long they can last with as many of us as there are left? I don't know how much longer I'll be able to continue like this.

does the district manager even care about the rack anymore? It’s like shopping at buffalo exchange.

Since when is wearing a suit with no socks considered "talent"?

It is that easy if you have talent. If you don't have talent take it and learn to like it.

They wanna get that bonus by not splurging on employee benefits. Little birds states that there’s gonna be a raise? When does that happen?

It's the new reality in the working world. It's going on at most companies but not all. As more productivity is required from fewer workers at more and more companies it will not end well for the shortsighted companies or for the employees. I suggested to my team members they all find employment elsewhere as they are talented and smart employees, Everyone of them landed better jobs at better companies with the exception of the one who retired. Why not plan your escape on company time, do your research and land at a better company? I bet you will also get a pay bump and be much happier. If it works out take a few of your coworkers with you after you get settled in.
