Does anyone know why Belk would assign a store manager to a location for a year, then move them to another store for a short period, then move them to another store again... what is the reason for frequent moves from some store managers while others stay in the same location for years and years? Just curious what the logic is behind this?

So instead of solving the issue, Belk kicks the can down the road or “passing the trash” and hoping store managers problem will go away? What do you expect when you are working with stupid company like Belk and stupid decision makers at the top level?
Typically, moving managers around is referred to as “passing the trash”, atleast that’s how it’s known at Dillard’s. There is a manager who has moved three different times within the same district in less than three years, which means either they are fraternizing with employees or there is another conflict of interest in the store. Whatever the reason is, it typically is not a real good sign.
How much Belk company will save if you cut about 40~50% of do nothing and bonehead Belk Stores Managers salary today and use that to share with small money raise to all Belk hard workers? Do you have to be Belk top executives to figure that out?
Don’t fear artificial intelligence. Fear natural stupidity! Are we better today at Belk company now then we were four years ago if Belk company were operating with logical and business common senses rather than these current pathetic Belk CEOs at the top? That is the question?
