Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Pat at State of Union

So you proud or embarrassed to see Intel CEO being called out?

It isn’t like he is a hero being recognized for some great achievement, or did I miss it?

I see a desperate fanatic pursuing a strategy the company can’t afford and with timely geopolitics groveling for a lot of free money for a strategy that is going to leave Intel exhausted, distracted and weaker than even what BK or Bob left it.

It is more sad he has brainwashed the whole BoD prior to becoming CEO, nobody is in any position to even ask a question about the strategy as Pat has their unanimous support.
I’d be afraid very afraid of the current strategy and any checks and balances of the company, a sad ending to this company

This was nothin more than an embarrassment for Intel and for Pat especially. A theatrical performance that was rehearsed, planned applause all of it a show only to take a message from a previous administrator and try to make their own. There will be no chip act passed its dead in the water. So what now for intel? What to do with the 1000 per week new hires? What to dk with the lazy lifers? What to do with the program assisted promoted >GR 10 women, latinX, RISE, crowd that do that don't have the qualifications or experience to do the job?

Completely ashamed to see clown shoes Pat opportunistically use the geopolitical situation for 'advantage'. Hey, if you can't compete head-to-head, go to the government to beg for a bail-out or at least a hand-out. Shitel is going to become something very similar to a state-owned company in the next few years. Pathetic, inefficient, and incompetent.

“ ‘all-or-nothing” how sad indeed need government bail out after being the biggest RD spender for the past few years, a broke strategy.

Our RSU will be like Rubles

I worked at Intel from 1979 to 1985. Quit after my wife was rif'd while 8 months pregnant in 85. Terrible company then and sounds like still. Rest in peace Microcontroller Operation (Chandler, AZ) and Commercial Microsystems Operation (Deer Valley Az).

Money or no money the tipping point has passed and Intel’s relevance is finished.

Like IBM 30 years ago, LOL

The sad thing is their is no internal oversight and similar will be none from government.

Really such a sad ending, the leaders at Apple, Nvidia, Qualcomm, AMD, Microsoft and others I am sure have had both curiosity, disbelief and much more about it.

It was a strange choice by Biden or whoever decided for Pat to attend.

I have never seen that type of callout to any business leader like that, very unprecedented.
