Over the past year I've seen a significant shift in hiring and promotions, where qualified candidates with years of experience are overlooked in favor of diversity hires with no experience in the subject matter. I've seen glorified IT project managers promoted to VP-level positions because they check the boxes, and so do the cascading backfills. I've seen diversity scorecards for SVPs that measure metrics for women and minorities in LG1+ positions. I've seen a double minority quit and get rehired within 45 days, with a promise of promotion shortly thereafter. Interested parties in the promoted position were told a preferred candidate had been slated (minimal experience).
Does anyone think it's crazy how racial and gender preference programs are so brazenly put on display? Any other good, documentable examples that could further support EEOC complaints or class action suits?
