Diversity Quotas Trump Competency

Over the past year I've seen a significant shift in hiring and promotions, where qualified candidates with years of experience are overlooked in favor of diversity hires with no experience in the subject matter. I've seen glorified IT project managers promoted to VP-level positions because they check the boxes, and so do the cascading backfills. I've seen diversity scorecards for SVPs that measure metrics for women and minorities in LG1+ positions. I've seen a double minority quit and get rehired within 45 days, with a promise of promotion shortly thereafter. Interested parties in the promoted position were told a preferred candidate had been slated (minimal experience).

Does anyone think it's crazy how racial and gender preference programs are so brazenly put on display? Any other good, documentable examples that could further support EEOC complaints or class action suits?

Notice the stealth change from EQUALITY to EQUITY. Disadvantaging or handicapping people by Race (or any other protected class is……illegal.

I received my 2022 objectives today. Top of the list:

Advance female and POC representation achieving targets by 2025 (10% Black, 10% Hispanic, 50% female) and maintain forward progress advancing inclusive culture measured by OHS and indices

Lol it's all companies these days. The funny thing is the nonminorities going along with the agenda and promoting will be thrown under the bus at the next opportunity.

The Asians and Indians don't know any better because the woke mob will come after them next cause they are successful and not diverse enough.

The women are d-mb too cause in a few years just being female wont be enough. Gotta be a minority or lgbt!

Remember this is all about boosting up the so called oppressed classes.

Sounds like someone lost a promo to a woman, too bad, so sad.

We all have seen a real Trump in the context it is used in this title. The reality is white folks were never incompetent but now they are sitting at home enjoying unemployment benefits whereas all others are working hard and earning much deserved recognition 👏

If your manager shares Org Health survey results, look for question 25. Shouldn't be a surprise.

I agree. Woke companies like PepsiCo engage in systematic racism by using race as a factor in making hiring or promotion decisions. The question on the OHS about promotions being objective and fair is laughable and the lowest scoring result in my department.

One easy way to see if a program or statement is racist is to change the target of the statement. Would anyone raise a concern if we said that we are going to increase the % of white men in a position? And if yes, then why is it ok to say we are going to increase the % of women? Or hispanics?

It's more about what you are than who is most qualified for a position.

The really sad part is all the forced hires and promotions don't even seem to realize or care that they are only there to reach 'diversity' goals.

The thing is -- nobody actually has to be competent to work at PepsiCo, and few are. So now they promote incompetent minorities and women instead of incompetent white men. What's the difference, other than you white boys feeling sorry for yourselves? Boo hoo.
