Claims- what is your OT claim load ?

Ok claims team, what part of claims do you belong to ? What is your required amount of OT? I am in injury, and our CAs have 5 hours a week of OT, required for the next 2 months to help Express.

I’m in TL and 6 extra hours per week. Been mandatory OT since September.

What a false sense of importance. The reality is the entire IT dept could be replaced in a heartbeat with a 3rd party. And based on abysmal performance that very well happen.

@1hmq. I am sorry to say you are correct. With the abomination they created, I think it may be the best recourse.

@1eno is comparing the entire claim organization to 1 IT guy-LOL. What a false sense of importance. The reality is the entire claim force could be replaced in a heartbeat with a 3rd party. And based on abysmal performance that very well Amy happen.

@jyc+ that's precious, you get woken up at 2am due t a computer outage once in a while and a VP asked you a pointed question about when you are going to get the system up and running. Money, you think what you do is so important because it costs the company money? Look at claims expenses and how much money flows out of the coffers for claims. Please take 10 calls in claims and you will beg to be woken up at 2 with a smarmy VP asking you questions.

If I could have just one day where all the systems worked, it would be Re3markable

IT snowflake…. That’s the life. Did it on a college campus 20yrs. You don’t like it, there’s plenty of people in India ready to take your spot.

IT guy again.

How often do you get a call at 2am while in a deep sleep and are told you have to wake up and fix a major outage?

IT Guy here.

I've had people yelling at me when systems are down complaining that it isn't getting fixed fast enough.

If it is serious, vice presidents are on the call.

Now you answer some questions.

How often do you have VP's looking over your shoulder while you are trying to fix something?

How often is the company losing money while you are on the phone?

How often do you have thousands of customers unable to perform their functions, access their accounts, etc. while you are in a call?

I'd prefer you make up some numbers based upon your in-depth knowledge of all other positions. You seem to have insight on the se-ual activities of most, so I'm certain you are fully aware of workloads.

I'm in IT and we are required to be available if called 24x7x365. Oh, and yeah, we don't get paid extra if we work. I worked 24 hours straight one time.
